"This is our FUCKING city"

How about that ceremony at Fenway on Saturday? There's not that much to say other than you should watch it here.

Anyways, onto the most important things in the world, namely this league. But first, stop the presses, Josh lives! If you received any 4-for-1 trade offer...that's him. Either something like that or Rafael Betancourt for Justin Upton. That would be him too.

ICYMI, the activity skyrocketed thanks to a 4-19 start by Nyjer Please, and not surprisingly Josh was in the middle of it (sorry, Tess). The h2h league consensus is Nyjer came out on top by acquiring Mauer, Howard, Harper, and Lawrie (flipped for Victorino as Bobby Me gets another Sawx). Buck is off to a hot start but it's hard envisioning him continuing to hit HRs at this pace. Kemp is obviously the x-factor, after offseason labrum surgery. But at this point, couldn't Harper outperform the former Mr. Rhianna? Might be crazy, but I think it's 50-50.

Most interesting drop/add of the week: MMMMM Swishalicious. There were a couple of waiver adds this past week, but Lowrie, Matt Carpenter, and Chris Carter were not as intriguing as Nick Swisher, especially in an OPS league (he consistently finishes with an OPS over .800). He wasn't off to a particularly slow start either, but Josh/Tess benefit from the pickup.

Who's hot:

BabyGiraffeBreaksOut- Unlike the guy who his team was named after, Evan's squad is riding (yes) Evan Gattis to first place in "Da Bay" division. He weathered the storm against my squad and salvaged a 6-6 tie thanks to his 4 closers and hot weeks from Lowrie, Cano, and Mark Reynolds (Whaaaaat????).

Hadouken Heroes- Will Doug's squad be able to keep this up? With Harrison out until the ASB, his ridiculous pitching stats (2.21 ERA, 1.02 WHIP) will surely take a hit. That is unless Clay Buchholz continues to put up a bunch of zeroes (4-0, 0.90 ERA...ridiculous!)

Underachieving:

my name is not rick- Not his fault, look at the guys on his DL (Cueto, Hill, Zimmerman). Ouch! He could look to deal one of his two SS, but it hurts to own a scorching hot Chris Davis and sport a record one game below .500.

What to watch:

What will BustHerPosey do with Albert Pujols? It's pretty obvious just watching him that his plantar fasciitis is killing him, but it's not affecting him in the batters box, yet. Could Pujols spend a season on and off the DL as he deals with this injury? It's possible.

Can EZer said than Dunn keep his season afloat without Jose Reyes for the next few months? Shin-Soo Choo has been killin it at the top of the order for the Reds at the Great American Launching Pad and has scored 17 runs after 3 weeks. He's gotta keep getting on base for this to continue.

Will Pimmer in the Hole balance his roster? He only boasts 4 starting pitchers in a daily h2h league, but if he finds depth, watch out.
